La Dolce Vita, Italian for the good life. i was reading the William Burroughs book - naked lunch, while i was working on this piece, i loved the book! It was so visceral and squishy! The painting for me is a depiction of souls in Purgatory, waiting to pass on to the next level. Whatever that may imply. May be good - maybe not so good! The light colored figure on the right side of the piece represents a sort of gate keeper or guide, The oval extension coming off its body is like a large shell-like pelvis, where the souls must pass through, an Astral Birthing.

I used Photoshop to start, brought into Painter to finish, then out to PS for final touches.
